Maricar started out as a production operator for an electronic company in the Philippines then after emigrating in Canada, she was a full time mom to two kids and eventually she became a buyer for a clothing company in Montreal. Chy on the other hand worked in housekeeping in a hotel in the Philippines then went to school in Canada to become a computer programmer. She then acquired a position as a project manager in the government. Marilou originally worked in the fast food industry as a crew team member; she then took on a phlebotomist position in a lab in Ottawa after getting her certification. Lastly, I worked part time as an assistant teacher for a learning center in high school then as a nurse in the hospital in Ottawa.
We all disliked our jobs. We all complained about our jobs. We were stressed, hated Mondays, deprived of sleep, unhappy and dictated by the 9 to 5 working hours five times a week. There must be more to life than working 40+ hours a week!
Then something great happened! Maricar's son, Kevin, introduced us to network marketing. We were skeptical at first since we have been in this rabbit hole before. He came over to Ottawa to present the business to us. The passion and commitment he has in this business is truly inspiring. He showed us the business, explained the competitive compensation plan (by the way, you get your initial investment back in 30 days! How awesome is that?) and at the end, he asked, What is your goal in life?
This got us thinking.... What do we want in life? Do we want to just continue making someone else's dream while we toil 9 to 5 getting little money than what we deserve? Are we content in receiving 1/3 of our earnings at the end of the day? Are we happy with the jobs that we have? There are certain things we want for sure: freedom, quality time, flexibility and health.
By the end of the night, we were all part of the business! We are in awe of how this company addressed the four things we wanted and much more! This company has opened new doors to us, created new friendships, and improved our health and well being. The leaders and ambassadors of this company all share the same vision and get the proper training and support from its leaders. We believe "you're in business for yourself, BUT never by yourself."
So our road to healthy lifestyle started on this night. Our journey is just beginning...
